π The Story of the World, Volume 2: Middle Ages by Susan Wise Bauer. The second volume in The Story of the World series begins in 400 AD with the fall of Rome and ends in the year 1600. The book emphasizes Western Civilization, but other cultures around the world are also discussed. β Elementary
π The Medieval & Early Modern World series from Oxford University Press. Here is a great series that can be used as a spine for a Middle School study of the Middle Ages. These three books cover the Middle Ages: European World, 400β1450; African and Middle Eastern World, 600β1500; and The Asian World, 600β1500.
